Macmillan Learning offers several options for buying or renting textbooks. Take the traditional route with hardcover, paperback, or loose-leaf textbook options. Or go digital and buy or subscribe to our e-book and LaunchPad options.
Paperback
Available for select titles, this version of the text is a bound, paperback version available to purchase or rent.
Loose-leaf
Sometimes also referred to as a spiral-bound or binder-ready textbook, loose-leaf textbooks are available to purchase. This three-hole punched, unbound version of the book costs less than a hardcover or paperback book.
E-book
Every PDF-style e-book gives you the power to read, take notes, and highlight on your phone or download the e-book for offline access. Available to purchase or subscribe.
Achieve
Achieve includes our complete e-book, as well as online quizzing tools and multimedia assets. We think of Achieve as a ‘full course solution’ as it has everything you need to succeed. Available to purchase or subscribe.

Which textbook format is right for you?
How do you choose between textbook formats: hardcover, paperback or loose-leaf? What makes more sense for you--a print or digital textbook? Every student is different. From value, convenience, ease of use and what’s required for your class, there are several factors that will go into your decision. Here are some questions to help you make your choice.
Is this class part of your major?
Buy the hardcover textbook or digital plus print textbook package. You may want to brush up on the content and reference your textbook later in your major.
Do you do everything on your phone or tablet?
Maybe the e-book option is for you so you can study and prepare for class on the go.
Are you worried about price, but prefer a printed text?
Check out our loose-leaf or rental options.
Is your class part of a two-semester course?
Make sure you buy or rent for at least 12 months, if possible.
